When the convenience of registration opens the door to fraud

Registration of a legal entity via the Internet improves the business climate and supports small businesses. Real estate transactions are carried out using electronic applications and loans are issued.  However, these opportunities are used not only by law-abiding citizens, but also by frauds.

Experts admit that it is impossible to completely prevent such troubles. Igor Gushchev, Senior Partner of the Duvernoix Legal law firm, points out that the legislation does not provide for the possibility of prohibiting registration as an entrepreneur or founder of a legal entity on the initiative of the citizen himself.

"Those who find themselves in the position of Alexander Zasimovsky have the right to challenge the decision on registration: first, through a special procedure in the tax service and in case of refusal — through the court," the lawyer explains.
