Igor Gushchev, Senior Partner of Duvernoix Legal, noted that due to the current economic situation, appropriate amendments to the legislation were adopted:

"The adopted amendments to the legislation allow to demand compensation for a significant reduction in rent from companies from unfriendly countries, since the landlord now has the right to require the tenant to pay the rent tied to its revenue in the same amount that was before the significant decrease in revenue and, accordingly, rent due to the termination of the tenant's activities. Now there is also the possibility for termination of contracts in case of refusal of such compensation, that is, without any violations of contracts on the part of tenants. But each case must be considered individually."
