Who will be affected by legislative amendments to the fuel and energy complex and the military-industrial complex?

The government has proposed the expansion of the deputy's bill on counter-sanctions. Now external control over foreign assets will be allowed for the fuel and energy complex and the military-industrial complex.

According to Alexander Arbouzov, Partner and Head of Corporate Practice at Duvernoix Legal, from a purely logical point of view, the presence of manufacturers for the military-industrial complex or projects in the fuel and energy sector in the list of organizations where external control can be introduced would be correct, since this would allow "closing" all areas potentially important for the country's security. "Potentially, a large number of enterprises can fall into this circle," the expert concludes.
